Fellowship

Fellowship in a caring community has many forms at Luther Place.

Fellowship Hour

After the 11:00 AM service on Sundays, “the coffee hour” provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors and members to meet, talk and share. Everyone is invited and encouraged to stay and be a part of this important extension of worship.

“There's so much going on with all of us. We need to sit and talk for a few minutes and catch up on one another's lives.”

Shared Meals

Periodically (congregational meetings, Easter, other special events) we gather in the All Saints' Room or the social hall, usually after the 11:00 AM service, to partake of a “feast” and a meeting.

Community Groups – Do life together

Community groups at Luther Place are small groups of people who gather at least once a month to build relationships with God and one another through fellowship, prayer, study and service.

Each group has a different organizing principle. Some are focused around a demographic (parents, young adults and seniors); some are geographic (Adams-Morgan), and some are centered on service (WIN). Contact the church for more information about joining a community group or click on the link.”

Social Activities

Social activities can be uplifting for the soul, too. Come to a bowling party, a talent show, ice cream social, caroling at Christmas time, games night, a congregational picnic, a museum, movies or a play.

Membership

This group helps Sunday morning worshippers get to know one another better, and also invites others to join the family that is Luther Place.
