Luther Place is just off Thomas Circle in northwest Washington, DC, on a triangle of land created by the intersections of: 
     * 14th Street NW (running north and south)
     * Vermont Avenue NW (running southwest and northeast between Thomas Circle and Logan Circle)
     * N Street NW (running east and west)

Metrorail

You can get to Luther Place easily by Metrorail. 
     * Take the Orange or Blue line to McPherson Square Station
     * Walk 4 blocks north to Thomas Circle, where you will see the statue of Martin Luther.

Luther Place is served by the No. 52, 53, and 54 buses, which stop next to the church at the corner of 14th St NW and N St NW.  Other buses stop within a few blocks of the church, including the Circulator, which stops at the intersection of 14th St NW and K St NW.

Driving

There are numerous ways to enter the city, depending on the direction from which you are coming and whether it is morning rush hour, evening rush hour, a parade day, a marathon day, raining or sunny, and the like. The following directions are offered as general guidance. If you use a mapping program, your destination is 1226 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005.  See below for information on parking.

From the South  

• From south of the Beltway, take I-95 N toward WASHINGTON
• At the Beltway, take I-395 N toward WASHINGTON 
• Go 10 miles
• Take the US-1 N exit on the left
• Go 1 mile and continue straight onto 14th ST
• Stay straight to go onto 14TH ST
• Go a little less than 1 mile
• Approaching THOMAS CIRCLE, go almost halfway around and turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto VERMONT AVE 
• Luther Place is on the LEFT between Thomas Circle and N St NW

From the Ronald Reagan National Airport

Leaving the airport, follow signs to I-395 N, then follow the directions above.

From the West

• Take I-66 E toward WASHINGTON
• As you cross the Roosevelt Bridge, continue straight onto Constitution Avenue
• Turn LEFT on 15TH ST
• Go 1/2 mile
• At K ST NW, continue slight RIGHT onto VERMONT AVE NW 
• At THOMAS CIRCLE, go halfway around the circle and turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto VERMONT AVE
• Luther Place is on the LEFT between Thomas Circle and N St NW

From Dulles International Airport

Follow signs to Washington DC, to I-66 E and follow directions above

From the Northwest

• From the CAPITAL BELTWAY (I-495), traveling south toward VIRGINIA, cross the Potomac River and take the GEORGE WASHINGTON PARKWAY toward WASHINGTON 
• Near downtown, take the ROOSEVELT BRIDGE exit, continue straight onto CONSTITUTION AVENUE
• Turn LEFT on 15TH ST
• Go 1/2 mile
• At THOMAS CIRCLE, go halfway around and turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto VERMONT AVE
• Luther Place is on the LEFT between Thomas Circle and N St NW

From the Northeast (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore)

• Take MD-295 (Baltimore-Washington Pkwy) SOUTH, inside the CAPITAL BELTWAY (I-495)
• Follow the Parkway South for approximately five miles until you come to NEW YORK AVE
• Bear RIGHT, toward NEW YORK AVE for approximately 5 miles
• When New York Ave reaches the Convention Center (on the left), cross in front of the Center and bear RIGHT onto MASSACHUSETTS AVE
• Go 1/2 mile
• At 13TH ST, bear RIGHT into THOMAS CIRCLE (do not stay left, which crosses under the circle!) 
• Enter THOMAS CIRCLE and take 2ND RIGHT onto VERMONT AVE
• Luther Place is on the LEFT between Thomas Circle and N St NW

Parking

If you cannot find street parking, pay parking is available at the Washington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle, just across Vermont Avenue from Luther Place. Please bring your ticket with you to the church for validation.
